Vascular Neurology

The Vascular Neurology Fellowship at the University of Iowa is an ACGME-accredited program that provides fellows with the outstanding clinical and research education necessary to become independent vascular neurologists, ready for an academic career or community practice.

The fellowship alternates inpatient rotations with outpatient care and electives.

The University of Iowa’s Comprehensive Stroke Center houses the program. The UICSC is a leader in both developing and conducting trials that test promising therapies for the prevention, treatment and recovery of stroke.

Researchers at UICSC have been at the forefront of translational and clinical research in cerebrovascular disease since the 1960s.
