Thank you for your interest in the University of Iowa Department of Neurology.
The department offers 4th-year medical students enrolled in other LCME-accredited medical schools the opportunity to complete away neurology rotations at Iowa during the months of July through October. The rotations offered are Advanced Inpatient Neurology (NEUR:8401), Advanced Outpatient Neurology (NEUR:8402), and Advanced Inpatient Sub-Internship Neurology (NEUR:8404). All are four-week courses. These rotations are approved and arranged by the department.
Applications will be accepted beginning January 1-March 31. List of current courses and information (see Advanced Clerkships: Course Descriptions). At this time, we cannot accept applications from osteopathic medicine students.

*Please submit 250 words or fewer on why you are interested in completing a neurology rotation at the University of Iowa.
Following tentative approval from the Department of Neurology, the applicant should complete the Carver College of Medicine (CCOM) application. The rotation is not officially approved until both the departmental and CCOM applications are completed and approved.

The Visiting Student Scholars in Medicine Program aims to support students seeking a visiting rotation at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
