What are Sleep Disorders?

Sleep disorders focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing sleep disorders with a neurological basis.

Sleep neurologists address conditions like:

  • Insomnia
  • Sleep apnea
  • Restless legs syndrome
  • Narcolepsy
  • Parasomnias

They use advanced diagnostic tools such as polysomnography, EEG, and actigraphy to assess sleep patterns and identify neurological issues. UI Health Care offers the latest diagnostic technology. This includes sleep studies that you can complete at home as well as specialized testing in our state-of-the-art sleep lab.

Treatment plans may include medications, behavioral therapies, lifestyle changes, and sometimes surgical interventions to improve sleep quality and overall health.
