The CNE-TP is designed for residents with an interest in becoming clinician educators. The four-year curriculum provides training in foundations of medical education and educational opportunities with learners, in addition to what is received during residency training. The CNE-TP utilizes the resources available through the Department of Neurology, Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education (OCRME), and University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

CNE-TP Curriculum
Every other month, we hold 45-minute Thursday sessions focused on medical education. These sessions include Med Ed-focused didactics, discussions of ongoing projects, interactive workshops, and journal clubs. They are open to all interested residents, not just those participating in the CNETP. Speakers include our neurology education faculty, as well as invited guests from other University of Iowa departments and nationally recognized leaders in medical education.
